LIMPOPO PROVINCE
The Limpopo province, formerly the Northern Province
and known as Africa's Eden, offers a mosaic of incomparable scenic landscape, an
intriguing
cultural heritage and abundance of wildlife species.
It is a land of legends and myths and of ancient civilizations. Those in search
of history will find many places of archaeological significance that yielded
relics dating back millions of years.
But probably our greatest asset is our people. They are warm and friendly and
ready to share the abundance of their province.
Modern towns, good roads and excellent accommodation establishments will enable
you to enjoy this fascinating province.
The hot climate makes the Limpopo Province a pleasant year-round holiday
destination. During summer - from October to March - it is hot with brief
afternoon showers, providing a cooling effect for evenings. In winter - May to September - the mornings are crisp, the days are dry and sunny and
the evenings cold and clear. The capital of Limpopo province is Polokwane,
formerly Pietersburg. Below is the weather observed at Polokwane, click on the
banner for a more for a more detailed forecast.
The northern regions of the Kruger National Park
border on Limpopo province,
