KWA-ZULU NATAL
While the province of Kwa-Zulu Natal may be internationally
renowned as the Kingdom of the Zulu, it is really is one of the only provinces
in the country that can boast a true diversity of people and culture, all honed
together in its very own rainbow spirit. Visitors to the province have a chance
to see and experience true Zulu culture and their proud history, interact with
Indian people whose forefathers came to the province as indentured labourers and
merchants in 1860 and get a taste of traditional English culture still practiced
by residents whose descendants came to the territory in the nineteenth century.
Built around these cultural experiences are significant tourist attractions
ranging from the steamy beaches in the busy metropolis of Durban and the
province's south and north coasts to mountain resorts nestled away in the
majestic Drakensberg Mountain Range. Over and above this the province also
boasts a host of world-class game parks and ecotourism facilities.

Superb accommodation in beautiful natural settings from the heights of the
mountains in the uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park, a World Heritage Site, through the
tropical savannahs of Zululand where the "big five", elephant, rhino, lion,
buffalo and leopard call home and on to the brilliant coral
reefs of the Indian Ocean that fringe the lakes and wetlands of the Greater St
Lucia Wetland Park, also a World Heritage Site. Fly into Durban and go on safari
to enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, birding and the wildlife of this scenic and
culturally rich province of Kwa-Zulu Natal.
Mkuze Falls Private
Game Reserve
The Mkuze Falls Private Game Reserve is beautifully
situated in the heart of historic Zululand in the South African province of Kwa-Zulu
Natal. Mkuze Falls is one of only two Private Game Reserves in the region
where you can view the 'Big 5' - lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, elephant and for
bird lovers, nearly 400 species of birds are resident. You are invited to stay
with us and experience the unique richness that this peaceful part of Africa
has to offer. The centrally located facilities include a pleasant dining
area, a comfortable lounge, an indoor pub, a shady terrace and a swimming pool.
The large lounge leads onto a spacious viewing deck which is built over the
sloping riverbank. This veranda provides panoramic views of the winding Mkuze
River and the wild, untamed landscape beyond. In the heat of the day, you can
relax under the shady palm trees and take a refreshing swim in the sparkling
pool. In the evenings, enjoy some lively entertainment provided by the
energetic, traditional Zulu dancers. Highly experienced

menu varies daily and features a host of South African dishes including local
venison specialities during the hunting season.

the Lion and the trumpet of the Elephant. The pure sounds of
Africa!

above, is
